Lye Huat Garden - 5 Minutes From Homestay

Lye Huat Garden is a recreational park in Kubang Pasu District, Kedah. It comprises a man-made lake, a miniature landscaped garden, and a terra cotta garden. Visitors also get to enjoy the koi carps in the lake, and view its collection of ceramic figurines.

Lye Huat Garden was founded by Dato Lim Lye Huat in 2002. It was originally called Lye Huat Stone Art Gallery when it was first built in 1994. Dato Lim built it for his personal enjoyment. However, through the suggestion of friends, he decided ton open it to the public. In addition to being a tourist attraction in northern Kedah, Lye Huat Garden was also a venue for several national competitions including the National Flower, Hornfish, Bonsai and Suiseki Competition launched by the then prime minister, Mahathir Mohamad, in 2002. In 2004, the International Bonsai and Suiseki Competition was held here, and officiated by the Sultan of Kedah.

Bukit Wang Recreational Forest - 20 Minutes From Homestay

Located at the 24 compartment (2,140 acre) of the Reserved Forest of Bukit Perangin and of the widespread of 9.09 hectare. It is also located 12kn from the Town of Jitra or 40km from Alor Setar it can be reached via the road. There are a few distinguishing characteristics of Bukit Wang Recreational Forest including the Tosak River which is 1.5km of length and it has unique rocky surface which is a great area for picnic, the scenic and greenery of flora and fauna, 3km of forest trails crisscross this forest area and another 1.5km connects it with another forest which is the Puncak Janing Forest, the rock wall are suitable for extreme activities, rows of beautiful palm trees and rows of the Permatang Seraya trees which are more than 120cm in diameter which grow naturally.Among the facilities that are provided here are 15 chalets, 16 resting shelter , 3 units of the public toilet, 10 stalls, a swimming pool for children, a concrete bridge, 2.4 kilometer of area for jungle tracking activities, one mussolla and a hall for the tourists or visitor to use. 

Kerbau Cave, Kodiang - 15 Minutes From Homestay

It is situated at the foot hill of Bukit Kepalu and is among the potential gave to be developed. It has a spread of about 5.33 hactare. The District of Kubang Pasu Drainage and Irrigation Department is responsible to develop a few facilities such as to provide sitting area for the visitors and to beautify the nearby areas.

The Duty Free Retail Complex (Cergas Jaya) offers varience of products as a lower price as to compare to other metropolitan city. It is a building comprises of 3 sections with more than 5000 meter square feet of retail areas, parking lots and a bazaar that is near to the stalls. There are many facilities provided here, including foreign exchanged services, insurance counter, canteen and retail stalls. More to that, there are also stalls that sell fruits and products of the neighbouring country, Thailand.
